Centaureidine
CAS: 17313-52-9
CAT: 4989
Abstract
Bidens pilosa (hairy beggar-ticks) is used to treat infections, stomach illnesses, malaria, diabetes, and liver disorders all across the world. Moreover, some compounds purified from B. pilosa are claimed to possess anti-inflammatory, immunosuppressive, anti-bacterial and anti-malarial activities. Centaureidine (CAS 17313-52-9) is a flavonoid glucoside isolated from B. pilosa. It is currently being researched as a means to reduce and prevent pigmentation spots, acting at the level of melanin production.
