Abstract

Pseudohypericin (CAS 55954-61-5) is an aromatic polycyclic dione that is isolated from St. John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum). Pseudohypericin has been studied for its antiviral properties. The compound also contributes to the anti-depressant effects of St. John’s Wort extracts.
