Ganoderic Acid F – CAS 98665-15-7

Abstract

Ganoderma lucidum (reishi mushroom) has been traditionally used for increasing energy, improving immunity, and promoting health and longevity. Polysaccharides and triterpenoids are its two main types of compounds and considered to be responsible for its pharmacological activities. Ganoderic acids are the major components of the Ganoderma triterpenes. There are many of these acid monomers, including Ganoderic acid A, C1, C2, D, F, G, S, H, and DM.

Ganoderic acid F (CAS 98665-15-7) inhibits the growth of cancer cells. It exhibits anti-angiogenic activity by preventing the formation of new blood vessels. It displays significant cytotoxicity against cancer cells.
