OUR TEAM
Meet our team of chromatography and isolation experts. Planta Analytica’s scientists come from a wide collection of fields, including chemistry, biochemistry, analytical sciences, and process engineering, with each specialization contributing a unique set of skills.
Through a tightly knit community, our collaborative approach to problem solving leads to many new and innovative developments. By combining efforts, our team has been able to resolve various complex interdisciplinary problems.
Planta Analytica is able to stay at the forefront of our field by incubating a culture of discovery. By keeping our research and development process flexible, we are constantly making innovations towards the applications and technologies used in our field. While some of these achievements improve our services to benefit our clients, we share what we can with the scientific community. We find joy advancing natural products research and separation sciences through regular publications of our research and attendance in academic conferences.

Family Owned and Operated
Vitold Glinski
President, CEO
[email protected]
As the founder’s son, Vitold’s career started before he even made it to college. He spent his free time in the laboratory from the age of 12, learning the trade and traveling around conferences getting to know the industry.Â
Aspiring to continue the family business, he went to the University of Connecticut to study Chemical Engineering. When he returned to Planta Analytica, he focused on working in the lab, applying new skills to expand services to support larger scale operations and method development for commercial applications.Â
Over the last several years, Vitold started to take the reins over from Jan. He traded in his time doing hands-on work and focused on honing his team’s unique skills, while managing the business. Â
Jan Glinski, Ph.D.
Founder, Scientist Emeritus
[email protected]
Jan graduated from the University of Warsaw in 1975 and took the opportunity to come to the United States to complete his post-doctoral work at the University of Georgia. He specialized in the study of natural products, pioneering isolation methods that improved our ability to study novel secondary metabolites.Â
In 1995, Jan joined the natural products discovery lab at Boehringer Ingelheim, leading their development of Taxol, among many other projects. He helped Boehringer expand their natural products isolation and screening platforms.
During pharma’s shift away from natural products and towards HTS libraries, Jan left Boehringer to start Planta Analytica, where he continued working in the field from which he believed is the best source for future medicines.Â
