Difenoconazole – CAS 119446-68-3

Abstract

Difenoconazole (CAS 119446-68-3) is a broad-spectrum triazole fungicide; it is the active ingredient of many commercial fungicides. The usage of difenoconazole in agriculture has been rising faster than that of other fungicides for its efficiency in disease control. It is typically applied by spraying, seed coating, or direct application to roots. It controls a wide variety of fungi, including those of the Aschomycetes, Basidomycetes and Deuteromycetes families. Difenoconazole prevents the development of fungus by inhibiting cell membrane ergosterol biosynthesis.
