Abstract

Indolauxipyr is a picolinic acid herbicide, marketed as an ester: indolauxipyr-cyanomethyl. Indolauxipyr-cyanomethyl is a carboxylic ester resulting from the formal condensation of the carboxy group of indolauxipyr with hydroxyacetonitrile The Corteva Agriscience development code for indolauxipyr is XDE-521. Indolauxipyr (XDE-521) belongs to the pyridine carboxylic acid chemical class of herbicides. Other herbicides from this class include aminopyralid, clopyralid, florpyrauxifen, halauxifen, and picloram. These herbicides were tested for pre-emergent & post-emergent activities in wheat, barley, broadleaf weeds, crop species, and sedge weeds, and key grass.
